So last weekend our neighbor (who is cool and not loud) had this insane party - everyone was screaming and going nuts from like 4pm to midnight straight, totally crazy. Whatever right, I'm glad they had a good time, but dang.
But took out the trash today and found this. Damn!! This has never happened before, and it's still 2 more days till the garbage guy comes.
Had to go out to the store to pick up a few things yesterday, and this is what it looks like in April.
Then UPS won't let me in to my driveway.. Not really aggravating actually but look how much rain/snow fell while I was waiting!
Really, a week ago it was early spring. A few days ago it was just like fall. And now it feels like Christmas time.

The new phone!!
It's a Nexus 4 (as previously stated), using T-Mobile's $30/mo prepaid. Pretty frickin awesome, I'm not sorry I got it. Had to decide basically between this and a used iPhone 4s for about the same price. This being sold new and unlocked, plus that it's a newer phone, I thought made it a good choice.
Of course though between those two phones the main difference is iOS vs Android. Seriously I spent so much time researching this junk, it made me realize that I'd be willing to put in the time necessary to get a lot out of Android. Anyway.. I should have some pics of the actual phone itself but since I'm taking all the pics right now WITH this phone, that'll just have to wait!
Oh and BTW, I learned a ton of crap about how networks are run in America in this process, so if anyone wants to pay less per month for phone service, let me know. It CAN be done!
Also in case anyone is wondering, my old HTC phone broke, so I'm using a new lg nexus 4. First smartphone ever, totally awesome!!

Had dinner at my parent's house today and on the way home we stipped at this gas station. I used to ride my bike here as a kid to buy candy bars. To me it looks exactly like the quintessential gas station, and its sort of calming to get gas there, I found out.
My niece Evelyn's birthday party yesterday. She is two!

Went to the music thing put on by my niece and nephew's class today. Nephew did not sing at all.. probably woulda got in trouble if I was in charge! It was brutally cold last night too, blech.
I know these are poor quality shots of random kids who even I don't know, but whatever! It was fun to try to match up the kids with their parents after the show, haha. That may have been the most fun part... is that too mean?
Was at the grocery store today and saw some Milo. I remembered that my niece and nephew used to like that stuff in Singapore, and it was like 79 cents so I got some. Plus it is healthy and energy and cool soccer player!!!
Like 5 easy gulps later it was gone, and then out of curiosity I checked the nutrition info... wtf 180 calories!
It tasted alright though!
Karin is helping out at an organization called the Korean Adoptee Ministry, and today I went with her to work on an end of the year mailing. So here are some pics from the office!

So I got this one piece drum kit for Christmas, actually pretty cool! I don't need anything fancy and its fun to mess around or play along with some simple songs they include in it... but anyway
I got up for a minute to talk with Karin about something, and when I got back, Quimby was in my spot! She does this all the time though, we call her number one spot stealer.
I am sitting on her favorite blanket now while I write this, so that I can get up and she'll steal this spot instead...
Long time no see! I have been wanting to get a smartphone for a while now, and while I still don't have mine, Karin has a new one now so I get to use her old (somewhat crappy) android phone! It's actually awesome, obviously its slow and old and doesn't run everything since its using android 2.2, but I'm basically going from nothing to this. So pretend it's still 2008, and you'll understand what I mean.
Anyway, one of the features I've been looking forward to is to be able to take pictures and then post them here on the same device. As simple as that is now, I haven't been able to do it before and it's obviously super useful. So from now on it'll be much easier to keep this blog updated!
